Soframat S. A. was
born in 1967 as a foreign trade agency specializing in plastic raw
materials, chemical and petrochemical products and machinery for the
plastic industry.
That same year we obtained the agency of AtoChimie, Elf Group petrochemical division (France), then Elf Atochem, Atofina and finally and at present Arkema.
Until
the year 2001, in which Elf Atochem opened its branch in Argentina,
Soframat marketed a wide range of this company’ chemical products and
resins, such as: Polyamide 6,11 and 12 (Rilsan), Polypropylene (PP),
PVC, Polystyrene (PS), High and Low Density Polyethylene (HDPE and
LDPE), as well as all its engineering plastics (Terpolymers,
Coextrusion Adhesives, EVA Copolymers).
Likewise, since 1986 and until 2009 when it was merged with Braskem, we were the agents of Petroquímica Triunfo
(Brazil), recording a share in the Argentinean market of more than
2.000 tons per month of Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) and EVA
Copolymers.
During the years 1999 and 2000 Soframat worked as the agent in Argentina of BP-Amoco
Polyethylene division (England), marketing High Density and Linear Low
Density Polyethylene (HDPE and LLDPE) and developing a great variety of
specialty Polyethylene types.
In 1999 we created the semi-elaborate material division for packaging starting to work as agents of Polinas Plastik (Turkey) through all its BOPP ad CPP films line.
In the year 2004 Jindal Poly Films
(India) joined Soframat’s agency portfolio, offering its complete range
of polyester films (BOPET) for packaging and industrial uses.
By the end of 2010 we were appointed as exclusive Representatives and Distributors of EcoLogic LLC (USA), producer of Eco-One: The organic additive that renders plastic products biodegradable.
Besides all these representations, we
actively participate in technology transfer processes and know-how of
petrochemical processes, packaging and plastic gas pipes production,
among others.
Nowadays
Soframat S.A. continues working as agents of EcoLogic, Polinas and
Jindal, and we are also developing a wide variety of businesses within
the chemical and packaging industries with several foreign suppliers. |
